Da buggah looks Ono! I think I'll stop by the next time I'm back on the BI.
The malasadas at Tex kinda disappointed me. Too used to Leonard's and Champion I guess.

James, have you ever had the Chicken at K's Bento in Waipahu? Just went there today.

Makea, I heard about that place that sells that sushi in Paauilo. Hopefully I going stop by there next time I'm out that way! So many good places in small towns along the Hamakua coast.

Lily, I gotta agree with you about the potato wedges. They were so good too! Each one was like a quarter of a potato and perfectly seasoned and cooked. So ono.

Kelly, yeah hot sauce would be good on it! And no, I'm not sure if they were selling katsu (I know, you never ask haha!) -- I mean, they already have awesome fried chicken... maybe it would compete with the katsu too much?

Did you guys know that minit stop (on Dariy Road, Maui) is the first stop of Magic Johnson when he visits. The chicken is good and crispy, but the real star is the potato wedges. I ask my sister on maui to bring a dozen wedges instead of the standard krispy kream doughnuts

I remember setting ads at the Trib years ago for these guys when they first came over with their Maui chicken. I always wondered what made it so special.

Seems like a good alternative to Tex. The chicken would complement the killer sushi/musubi rolls from that place next to the Pauilo post office.

BTW, what lens did you use on the box shot, 50/1.4? The dof works well.
