The restaurant is now located in Waimea. I have not been to new location as of yet, but am sure the food is probably the same!

James,
You are sooo da bomb. I check your website often, and need to let you know that this is such a great thing. I've shared your website with many, many people (with pride), and thank you for continuing this very special gift of Aloha.
Makes me hungry :)
Aloha,
Roland

Congrats on your wedding anniversary James and beau! All-the-better to hear that the dinner celebration turned out great.

If you like this kind of fusion Japanese cuisine, do check out Sansei in the Waikoloa Beach Resort. We recenty dined at the Waikiki location and it was fantastic. Stick with the appetizers. Nuff. Plus you get to sample more variety. No need the main entree.

Hey James, found your blog googling through cyber space. Enjoying reading it brah. Just started my own. Anyways, never been to Fujimama's but after reading about this and seeing the flicks, I am going to have to swing by here. Hey, ever been to Norio's at the Fairmont Orchid. Ono' sushi there. You can sit up front and talk story with Chef Norio and I think that is something worthwhile. Not like alot of other restaurants where the chefs' name is on the door but he is never there. I don't know why, but that irritates me. Anyways, keep us reading and I hope you can swing by and check out my blog. Aloha and Mahalo!!

We drive all the way from Hilo just for Fujimama's. This is an amazing place! Their fish is always fresh, not something you can really find in Hilo. Some of our favorites are (I downloaded the menu from their site) the Curried Chicken Spring Rolls with Ginger Coconut Dip, Sirloin Strip Steak with Miso Mashed Potatoes and Shiitake Salsa (I love the potatoes and the steak was always tender), they also have a sparkling sake drink that I love.

Another favorite of ours is Huli Sue's, located in Waimea. They are a part of Fujimama's with a whole different approach... country. It's my husband's favorite place to eat on the Big Island because they give enormous meat portions. He also loves their shakes. My personal favorite thing there is drinking a glass of wine out of a jam jar.
