Merry Christmas!
Sorry for the late post, but get 12 days right? I hope all of you are having a wonderful Christmas!
We baked some Ultimate Triple Chocolate cookies with Macadamia Nuts, adapted from the awesome Ultimate Double Chocolate Cookies recipe from Allrecipes.com.
Modifications to original recipe:
- Add 1 cup of coarsely chopped mac nuts
- Add 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
How can go wrong, brah??!

Aloha, James.
I just came across your site this evening and I have been looking at it for almost an hour! Great job. And I love your photographs… especially your wedding. Congratulations.
My sisters and I will be visiting the Big Island Jan 30 – Feb 6 and the information you gave on places to eat will give us some direction as to where to eat while we are there. While 2 of us have been to Hilo 3 times before, we still don’t have a real take on where to find various kinds of food. We end up eating at the same places each time. The information on your site will allow us to eat local style for a few of our meals without risking inedible food.

Kirk, Reid, jodi — Thank you for all the wishes!
Reid, it’d be great to grind some noris with you! Let me know if you have time and are in Hilo…
Wanda… thank you so much for your comments. It truly makes it worth food blogging when I get to see how it helps people. I hope you have a wonderful time in Hilo! Don’t hesitate to ask me any questions if you need specific recommendations. Where have you been before?
