lance, i passed by Kristen’s Kitchen and it looked packed! sadly, i never get to visit there… but i really going try next time i go, later this month! i also stopped by Sato’s, but it was closed since it was a Sunday. Next time, though! Thanks ah..

Hope you get a chance to try those places. Just drove by on my way home from surfing at Kalaeloa Beach Park, Kristen’s Kitchen is in the Waipahu Buiness Center Building off of Farrington Hwy next to Regio’s Bakery and across of Times Super Market. Very good variety of items. Check it out. Regio’s carry malasadas, if you’re craving for one. And the Okazuya’s with the fried noodles is called Sato’s OKazuya. Just stop by for the small portion fried noodles and a 13 piece plate of sashimi from Tanioka. Stopped by Oahu Central Park and had a great lunch. Maybe the ahi patties would have been better with the fried noodles. Although their sashimi is of very good quality and haven’t disappointed me yet. Looking forward to your post of the places you’ll be eating at this time around. Have fun.

Thanks for the recommendations lance!… especially the ones in Waipahu. I love fried noodles and my place in Waipahu is justa few minutes away from that place behind Rocky’s, so hopefully I can check it out… mahalos!

Just thought of another place in Waipahu. Kristen’s Kitchen. Good and plenty. It’s in the Waipahu Business Building/Plaza (I think it’s called that) oceanside of Times Super Market, which is by Rocky’s. Also, in the parking lot behind of Rocky’s is a small okazuya place that’s known for their fried noodles. Simple and tasty. There’s always a line for their fried noodles, as they sell them by boxes of different sizes.

If you get a chance and are craving for a good New York steak for $8.00, try Spot’s Restaurant across of the old Gems in Kapalama and oceanside of Honolulu Community College. The steak runs out fast, so call first. What about Karen’s Kitchen on Coral Street. Lots of items to choice from that’s good. Menu changes daily. Lots of parking, mauka of Karen’s at the end of the building. When you’re in Waipahu, try Tanioka’s fish market. Good ahi patties, plus you can get 13 pieces of fresh ahi sashimi for $4.00 Yep, comes with hot mustard and wasabi sauce. There’s bigger sashimi plates, but I don’t know the prices. There’s also spicy tuna over rice. Haven’t tried their variety of poke yet. If you do, let us know.
